Process Description

Fatty alcohol is sulphated in a loop reactor and then neutralized with Dimethylamine and Sodium Hydroxide. The neutral liquor is reacted in the batch autoclaves to produce the crude Alkyl dimethylamine (Tertiary amine). The crude amine is washed, vacuum dried, borated to make the unconverted Fatty Alcohol non-volatile and them distilled to produce the Amine product.
